About

One developer, a studio's worth of habits.

Who is behind Tabaga Team, how the work gets done, and what has shipped since 2024.

The story

I am the developer behind Tabaga Team, a one-person software studio working from Algeria. The name went on a first product in August 2024, an on-demand towing app that is still on Google Play, and it has been on everything since: a dozen products for construction companies, pharmacies, garages, kindergartens and a few marketplaces, most of them for the Algerian market and some for France.

Most of that work is Flutter, because the people I build for live on Android phones and Windows PCs, often somewhere the network is a rumour. So the apps keep their data on the device first, sync when they can, and read from the right when the user does. The backend is whatever the customer can actually pay for and own: Firebase, Supabase, Appwrite, a VPS billed in dinars, or a machine in their own office.

A studio of one is a decision about how, not how much. Every product gets the same skeleton, the same kind of tests, the same brand pipeline and the same three-colour status table, which is why the fourth project was easier than the first and the twelfth easier still. When I say from idea to launch, I mean scoping, design, code, backend, store review and the installer, all by one person you can call.

Before Flutter there were C#, ASP.NET, Angular, Laravel and TypeScript. They still show up whenever a web dashboard, a Windows service or a small API is the right tool, and the blog is where I write down what the repositories taught me.

How I work

  1. 01

    The device holds the truth

Every write lands locally, in one transaction with its outbox entry. The network is an optimisation.

  2. 02

    One skeleton

Same folders, same layers, same tests in every product. The fourth is easier than the first.

  3. 03

Three languages from the first commit

Arabic, French and English with directional layout and bundled fonts. Never a retrofit.

  4. 04

    The backend is a detail

Behind an interface, chosen by what the customer can pay for and own.

  5. 05

    Constraints over conventions

Rules that matter live in package boundaries, database triggers and server functions, not in reviews.

  6. 06

    Say not ready out loud

Three-colour status tables, audits the client can read, and signed builds we can trace.
